Olga Boznańska (1865-1940) is one of the most unique and appreciated Polish artists in the world. She was a notable female painter stylistically associated with the French Impressionism. I admire her realistic hues expression and the dream-like atmosphere of the paintings capturing everyday life through a characteristic blurry strokes. The five particular pieces by Olga Boznańska have become the inspiration for specific garments of the "Renaître 2" collection. It was supposed to be presented during the “Renaître” Sustainable Fashion Show in Las Vegas, USA, on April 11th, 2020. I have been the author, head designer and executer of the project, which begun in 2019. Unfortunately, the event, that my group of students have been preparing for 7 months, was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. My collection from last year and the video of the event can be seen here.
